Our research focuses on using an applied research framework to develop practical guidance and assistance for wildlife and habitat management. 

Arkansas CWD Deer Study

We investigated the impact of chronic wasting disease on the white-tailed deer populations of NW Arkansas in thier CWD management zone to determine how CWD impacted population vital rates, behavior, and how we could mitigate CWD spread through management actions.

We investigated the impacts of prescribed fire on the mammalian and bird communities on Camp Blanding Joint Training Center in North Florida.

We investigated how the use of dormant season burns impacted bat species and investigated the resource selection of lasurine bats within in a pyric landscape on Camp Blanding Joint Training Center in North Florida

We developed methods to provide historical estimates of past harvests in coastal fisheries in Brazil based on fishers memories.
